During his visit in 1983, Vojvoda Momčilo Đujić encouraged the establishment of a folkloric group at the Serbian National Centre. In time it would adopt the name “Srbija”.

On 15 March 1987, the first folkloric group of the Serbian Centre in Bonnyrigg known as “Super Grupa” was formed. A few years later it adopted the name “Ravna Gora”, in honour of General Draža Mihailović, who, in May 1941, emerged as the leader of the first resistance movement in occupied Europe.

In 1989, “Ravna Gora” travelled to the USA and Canada followed by further trip in 1994. They performed at Chetnik Halls in Schererville, Indiana and Winona, Ontario in the presence of Vojvoda Momčilo Đujić.
